Emu Auxiliary Power Unit

The auxiliary power unit unit designed and manufactured within the scope of the New Generation Electric Train Sets project aims to be a technological product at the level of national and world standards. There are separate rectifiers with 140kW power, separate DC busbars and separate 125kW inverters for both windings coming from the transformer. Synchronization between inverters is provided at the output and there is a single output. The power and features of the rectifiers and inverters are designed to be common among themselves and a modular structure is aimed. Each rectifier and inverter set has separate DC busbars, thus ensuring full redundancy. In the event of a fault in one of the inverters or rectifiers, the other set can provide power up to 125kW. There is a 20Kw battery charging and control system supply unit.
